The artwork is the core piece of information that makes up the Internet-Art-Marketing system. Artworks can be found on broadcasted web sites as well as the gallery's/artist's website. Since viewers can find the artwork from these websites we created the extra link feature to allow viewers to find more information about the artwork. The gallery/artist may have and already existing website, have an e-commerce shopping cart so their art may be purchased online or have relevant information featured on the Internet. The extra link feature was designed to leverage these situations.

Each artwork has default links that guarantee that a prospective client can find out more information about the gallery/artist. There is a link to the gallery's/artist's website that the system generates. The email address of the gallery/artist is also on each artwork description.

The extra link feature consists of 3 web addresses with an alternate description for each. These links must be written out completely such as "http://www.otherwebsite.com/artwork1.html" or mailto:myotheraddress@otherwebsite.com.

Another use of the links is when the artwork is available on for purchase through an e-commerce system (such as paypal.com). One link can be used to add the artwork to the shopping cart and another link can be used to open the shopping cart.
