Advanced web developers use the Internet-Art-Marketing tools as
objects within their site. These tools display specific objects
that are maintained by their customers such as welcome page text
or a grid of artworks. By using objects to build their websites,
their clients not only can maintain their own information but also
get the feedback from their website with respect to which artworks
are being clicked on and which pages are being visited. Another
reason is that neither their client nor the developer need be concerned
on how to market the artwork on the Internet. The broadcasted artworks
are marketed through search engines and aggregate sites automatically.
Below are a variety of mechanisms and tools a web developer can
use to integrate the data from the Internet-Art-Marketing system
into the web site they are developing.
5.4.1.
The core templates of the customer's website are a set of JSP templates.
These templates outline the objects used to display and navigate
the default generated website. For a copy of these templates do
not hesitate to call us.
For the developers who understand JSP these files can be taken apart
to their base objects and integrated within their own custom website.
Some of the customer modifiable objects available are:
- Web Site formatting (background, text formatting, colors
)
- Logo
- Welcome page text, photo and artwork grid
- Selected Exhibit page text, photo, and artwork grid
- Artist List with thumbnail, Bio link and portfolio link
- Artwork Information
- Bio page text, Photo and artwork grid
- Portfolio artwork grid for each artist or series of artwork
5.4.2.
With the standard account we also give the developer as much space
as needed (within reason) to create custom features or graphics
for their client. For the developers we can set up their own FTP
access to their web address where they can add their graphics or
own set of templates.
5.4.3.
Another mechanism used to integrate Internet-Art-Marketing generated
pages into existing websites is to use direct links. This is also
useful when sending pages via email to perspective clients.
Using this direct linking technique allows pages such as Artist
portfolios, Artist subjects or Bios to be integrated into existing
sites.
